Asper Amar is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Asper Amar creates paintings, drawings, photography, textiles and installation work that investigate the social and emotional transformation of the self. Asper Amar explores the constant construction and deconstruction of the self, the signification and resignification of inner life and it’s manifestations as molded by social, cultural and political. Asper Amar’s artworks are intense, intimate glimpses of ephemeral selves  entrapped in objects – sometimes fragile, sometimes disturbing, but always up for interpretation, just like life itself.

Finding inspiration in contemporary and ancient rituals, symbolism and belief systems, Asper Amar’s visual universe is further developed in light design, fashion and scenography.
